10/26/21 - This is a rare Simson Luger from the late 1920s, one of only ~12,000 produced. The pistol is all matching and original with about 75% blue remaining, and about 60% of the original straw colored small parts. The pistol has standard high edge wear on muzzle, sides of barrel and sideplate, but most of the finish loss is on the straps. All small parts are Simson proofed, including the grip screws. The original left grip is present and matching numbered to the pistol with full four digit serial, but the right panel is a replacement. The magazine is a mismatched Mauser example from WW2. Bore is shiny but rifling is slightly smoothed down from us.
